CQC award Good in All Categories for Hanford Court
We are very proud to announce that we have scored ‘Good’ in all categories following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) here at Hanford Court Care Home in Stoke-on-Trent. To achieve Good in all of the five categories (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led) that the CQC use to grade the services delivered in care homes, proves that our hard work and dedication has been recognised by our consistently high score throughout.
This is the second report in a row from the CQC where we have achieved Good in all categories!
Here are a few quotes from our latest report: “Privacy and dignity were upheld and respected”, “It is very good and I feel safe”, “The staff are all kind and polite. We have a laugh together as well”. One resident told CQC “There is so much to do here; they organise all sorts”. A member of our staff told CQC “When new people come to live here we meet them to find out about their lives and the things they like to do. We plan support around this”.
Visiting relatives also told CQC, “We can visit whenever we want to and we are always welcomed. They are very good at staying in touch with us as well”. Another relative said, “I would be happy to complain if I needed to but I have never had to”. One resident said, “If I have a problem I tell them there and then and they always sort it out”
A big well-done and thank you goes to all our team at Hanford Court. Read our full CQC report here. We also welcome everyone to join us for our Beach Party themed Open Day on Saturday 5th August 2017.
