Upcoming Avery Developments
Coming to a Town Near You...
Avery are excited to announce that our two latest developments, constructed by Natta, are well under way in both Bracknell and Bristol, and scheduled to complete in Spring and Autumn 2017 respectively.
Both private care homes will offer premium retirement living services with care & support delivered to our care & well-being model, an approach that earned us Health Investor Magazine’s Care Provider of the Year Award for 2016.
Avonmere will have 78 beds and Astbury Manor 64, with very spacious bedrooms, landscaped gardens, sun terraces, cinema, therapy rooms, lounges, libraries, elegant dining rooms, as well as private dining facilities.
Well-being will be central to our delivery model with varied, daily activities keeping all our residents mentally and physically stimulated, and our mini-bus enabling residents to make frequent day trips to local sites of interest. There will be something for everyone.
The gallery below gives you a taste of things to come, as well as some computer generated images of what the homes will look like. We will also be charting the progress of the homes with update images as and when the buildings reach construction milestones.

Avery Healthcare commemorated a special event with contractor NATTA to mark the completion of the shell and core of the forthcoming Astbury Manor. Standing in a prominent position close the town centre in Bracknell, Astbury Manor is a three storey 64 bed new residential and dementia care home that Natta, as main contractor, is building for Avery.
The aim of a Topping out Ceremony is traditionally to commemorate the construction of the highest point of a building. The history of the ceremony can be traced back a thousand years to Scandinavia when a tree was placed on top of a building to appease the tree dwelling spirits disturbed by the sourcing of the timber for the predominately wooden structures of the time. These days with the multitude of materials used in the construction of modern buildings the placing of the tree has passed!
During today’s ceremony the Mayor of Bracknell, Ash Merry, laid a commemorative block to signify the topping out point. Counsellor Merry commented, “It has been a great pleasure to see first-hand what I’m sure will be a fantastic facility for local people who need a little more assistance in their daily lives. This is a wonderful example of dignity empowering people to live full lives even if they need to relocate for whatever reason. We wish Avery and Natta every success and look forward to the opening and to the moving in of the first residents.”
Adrian Doyle, Director of Developments for Avery Healthcare said, “Avery are delighted to together with Natta deliver a stunning asset to service the local community in Bracknell. We feel that with this project we have found a long term partner to continue developing care homes. We look forward to opening the doors to Astbury Manor in the Spring of 2017.”
