The successful Summer Fête included a range of fun activities including entertainment from local singer Lesley Ann and a visit from a mobile petting farm. Monies were raised from a tombola, raffle and a range of traditional summer fair games on the day.

Residents from Dukes Court had the opportunity to visit the airbase during Air Ambulance Week to see first-hand how their fundraising helps to keep the helicopters in active service. The WNDLR Air Ambulance averages six missions a day, flying the two regional helicopters across the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to provide a rapid response to incidents and medical emergencies.

Karen Chambers, Deputy Manager at Dukes Court Care Home said, “A big thank you goes to all staff, residents and relatives who helped raise such a fantastic amount. We had great fun and lots of support in raising funds for such a worthy cause, and we look forward to welcoming the Air Ambulance Service to come and give a talk to our residents later this year.”
