Clayton Manor Raise Over £200 For Macmillan

Here at Clayton Manor Care Home in Congleton, we recently supported the Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning and raised over £200 for this great cause. Around 80 relatives and friends (past and present) attended the vintage tea party themed event along with the residents and staff, with some coming in on their days off to support the event.

A fantastic array of cakes were baked for the morning, by the professionals in our kitchen as well as residents, relatives and staff. Alongside traditional favourites such as Victoria sponges and cupcakes there were also more exotic options such Gin & Tonic cake and Tia Maria cake. Needless to say everything was eaten on the day or taken home! As well as sales of cakes a raffle was held that boosted the monies raised. All who attended were entertained by Debbie, a popular local entertainer who wore a lovely vintage dress to tie in with the vintage theme and sang songs from the 50s and 60s.
