Nursing Care in Congleton
Care Services Offered: Residential Care, Dementia Care, Respite & Nursing Care
Long and faithful service is the watchword for Clayton Manor Care Home in Congleton. It’s one of our longest running nursing homes and has been providing outstanding care for the past 20 years. Our staff not only have a wealth of knowledge and experience under their belt, their compassion and dedication is second to none.
This nursing home offers residential care, dementia care and short-term respite and convalescent care. We focus on the well-being of all those within our care, concentrating on individual needs and preferences. After all, it is their home and we like them and their loved ones to feel that it is so. That way, there’s peace of mind all round.
We have a lovely position on the well-known Rood Hill, on the edge of Congleton, in the heart of the gentle Cheshire countryside, and it’s within easy reach of Macclesfield and Manchester. All our spacious bedrooms are furnished to a high quality and come with walk-in showers and TVs. There are lounges for socialising and also quiet spots for a bit of time on your own. Our secluded garden is overlooked by mature trees which give plenty of shady spots for our residents to enjoy when the weather is fine. Yes, it does stop raining sometimes!
If you have any questions please call Debbie Marshall, our care home manager, who will be happy to help on 01260 299622. If you would like a show around, please feel free to drop by and meet us all and see for yourself why Clayton Manor is one of the most respected care homes in Congleton. We also have a dedicated Facebook page that shows a little of what we get up to every day.
Clayton Manor Nursing Home has long-standing ties with many local Congleton schools, from nurseries through to sixth forms, which means a busy stream of visitors through the doors. Having children and students around keeps you feeling young at heart! As well as lots going on within the home —Zumba anyone? — there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about and join in with local community events. We have our own minibus, so there’s no excuse for getting aboard and setting off for:
• Summer trips to the seaside at Southport
• Winter trips to see the illuminations at Blackpool
• Shopping trips to Handforth Dean
• Regular ‘mystery’ tours where the destination is a surprise
• Lunch at local Congleton garden centres
I’d go for a mystery trip, myself! We think it important that we feed minds, bodies and souls and the best way of doing that is by keeping active, engaged and involved with the world around us. Our Facebook page lets the world know what we are up to and is a lively communication channel for appreciative friends and families. Check it out for yourself!
Residents and visitors alike enjoyed our special Cup Cake Day which we held recently, but we are also well aware of the importance of healthy eating. We have our own chef who makes sure that everyone has the very best nutritionally balanced meals, accommodating any special dietary needs. We do our utmost to make meal times enjoyable social occasions, and a complimentary glass of wine is always served with the evening, should you wish to indulge.
We realise that appetites can be poor and palates change as we age, so our dishes are always beautifully presented and tempting to eat, with a choice on every menu. If you want to have breakfast in bed, you can, if you fancy something particular, our chef’s ear is always open. There is a daily selection of freshly baked snacks, plates of fresh fruit, juices and drinks always on supply – and maybe even a cup cake or two!
