Clayton Manor awarded Good in All Categories from CQC
A big well done goes to all of our team at Clayton Manor Care Home in Congleton as we have scored ‘Good’ in all categories following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). It is no small achievement to gain a Good rating in all of the five categories that the CQC use to grade the services delivered in care homes, and we are all very happy that our hard work and dedication has been recognised.
Here are a few highlights from the report:
CQC asked people about their quality of life, they confirmed the staff were skilled and that they had a good quality of life. Visiting relatives also told CQC, “Can’t fault it, from other experiences we couldn’t believe the difference”, and “I go home and think thank God my mum’s being looked after there”. Another relative said, ” I think it’s a super place, in my view, it’s clearly good”.
Relatives also commented on our staff, saying “All the management staff are fantastic, caring and lovely”. A visiting G.P. told the CQC that the care being delivered was very good, the communication was good. He said “Carers are excellent”. One member of staff said “They’re really supportive” and another member of staff commented “I love working here”. The feedback from all the staff working in Clayton Manor was that they were supported, listened to and that the service had good teamwork that benefitted the people living there.
One staff member told CQC that “It’s like a big family, always upbeat and we have a laugh”.
Thank you to all our team for their continued hard work at Clayton Manor. You can also read our full CQC report. Lastly, we also welcome everyone to join us for our Beach Party themed Open Day on Saturday 5th August 2017.
