Gold Housekeeping and Silver Catering Awards for Grove Park

Grove Park Care Home in Leeds, in collaboration with the Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP) Awards, are delighted to announce that we have received a Silver Catering Award alongside a Gold Housekeeping Award!

The CAP Awards look at the levels of Catering and Housekeeping within a business, and reward and promote high-quality standards. A series of assessments and unannounced visits by an independent assessor are completed before an award is presented. CAP aims to increase standards in the service and performance of a business which therefore supports the development of services for the benefit of the end user.

Davesh Kumar, Head of Hotel Services at Avery Healthcare has worked closely with the team at Grove Park: “Under the leadership of Home Manager Lisa Turnbull, the staff have really driven high standards and their commitment and dedication are fantastic. My heartiest congratulations to Housekeeping for achieving Gold and to the Catering team for achieving the Silver CAP Award. With continued improvement, I strongly believe Catering will achieve a Gold at the next inspection.”

Simon Lawrence, Group Culinary Manager for Avery, also spoke about Grove Park’s achievements: “The team have worked extremely hard over the past year to enhance the food and beverage service at Grove Park. Only 15% of participants in the CAP award programme ever achieve gold, so we are extremely proud and delighted to have achieved a Silver Award for Catering at the first attempt. The Grove Park team have really come together to achieve this award and it is wonderful to see their dedication and enthusiasm rewarded.”

A huge thank you to the team at Grove Park. Your success shows how dedicated all our staff are in delivering the highest standards of care to all of our residents. Well done!
