Company News, Hempstalls Hall

On the 27th September, we welcomed Avery Ambassador Sherrie Hewson to an Afternoon Tea event at Hempstalls Hall Care Home, where we were raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

With help from Sherrie, residents, family and friends, we raised almost £100 for the charity.

To raise money for Macmillan nurses we held a staff cake competition, which we asked Sherrie to judge. Lynsey Cartlidge, Deputy Manager, took first place with her delicious lemon and vanilla cake. We all enjoyed a slice whilst the residents shared their experiences of living at Hempstalls Hall with Sherrie and the lovely care they receive from the staff.

We were wonderfully entertained by Luke Gessner, a jazz and swing singer, who sang some jazzy tunes that Sherrie and the residents danced along to.

Residents loved having Sherrie visit the home, and continue to speak about the great day they had.
