Notice of Change of Provision of Care at Scholars Mews
It is with regret that Avery Healthcare is announcing that Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford-Upon-Avon will be altering their provision of care as of the 15th December 2017. The home will provide high quality residential and dementia care and will no longer offer nursing care.
Avery acquired Scholars Mews in February 2015 and found that the home was heavily reliant on using agency nurses. Since this acquisition Avery have slowly reduced their nursing provision given the continued sector difficulty to recruit nurses. Avery does not anticipate, with the national recruitment challenges facing the care sector, that a continued reliance on agency nursing will decrease, and this impacts its ability to deliver quality care consistently at the levels it requires.
Avery and Scholars Mews management team are working with residents, their relatives, the Local Authorities, and the Local Care Commissioning Group to provide options and a process of reassessment, to help establish if there is a need to move a small number of nursing residents to other nursing care providers as required.
