A Community Focused Stafford Care Home
Crispin Court Care Home is the latest in Avery Healthcare’s provision for Staffordshire and brings the number of homes in the county to eight. Our Stafford care home is situated on the Stone Road, north of the centre of town and within easy reach of the M6, and offers luxury retirement living, residential, respite and dementia care expertly delivered from high-calibre professionals.
Experienced local manager, Lorraine Ford, has an exemplary record of establishing other thriving Avery care homes in the area and has overseen the development of the home from launch. Lorraine has wasted no time in putting down her mark on this fine Stafford care home ensuring the community under her guidance is as vibrant and supportive as it can be, and that the holistic, forward thinking care fully supports all its residents.
Our residential home is quite luxurious with two café bars, a cinema with surround sound and big comfy armchairs, a library on every floor, and a piano lounge to name but a few of the features. Bedrooms are spacious, have walk-in wet rooms, flat screen TVS and DVD players, with plenty of room for personal keepsakes, photos and ornaments.
We realise that moving into a home is not an experience to be taken lightly and our care aims to take into consideration the needs of every individual and to celebrate each person’s life. We encourage friends and relatives to help direct home life and join steering committees. The more involvement and knowledge we have the more we can build on good channels of communication.Get in Touch
Fun Staying in or Fun Going Out?
There’s no shortage of activities to keep mind and body interested and alert at Crispin Court. Our team of Activity Coordinators make sure of that. Residents can stay within the home and have some gentle pampering in our hair and therapy salons, gentle outdoor exercise in the garden, either in keeping fit sessions or hands-on gardening. Or they can leave the confines of the home, courtesy of our own minibus, and visit all the many interesting places on the doorstep – Chatsworth House, Trentham Park, the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, for instance — and go out to the theatre, shops and for meals. Our mystery trips are always popular and sometimes we even have a weekend away.
We have close links with the local Stafford community, such as schools and churches, and are pleased to offer the home as venue for organisations and associations.
Modern technology poses no problems for us. We are keen to use the internet and i-pads as resources and Wi-Fi is freely available throughout Crispin. YouTube can be very useful for trips down Memory Lane and stimulating conversation. And of course we are no strangers to Facebook either, as it is an excellent way of keeping everyone in touch with the finest of Stafford care homes.Contact the Home
More Sherry Anyone?
We like the finer things in life, so our dining room is as elegant a space as we can make it, food is beautifully presented and sherry and wine are offered at mealtimes as a matter of course. The quality of food is in keeping with the surroundings. We have a state-of-the-art kitchen where everything is cooked from fresh, using local Stafford suppliers whenever we can. Our chef and team are thoughtful in devising menus, making sure there is a healthy nutritional balance and taking into account the preferences of the residents. No special diet should ever be a problem.
Our water is filtered and we make sure hydration is well maintained – it’s something that can often be overlooked, and important to get right as we get older.
Dining is a social highlight of the day, when everyone gathers not only to enjoy the food, but each other’s company. Guests are always welcome to join us, especially when there is a birthday or special celebration coming up, and our private dining room is often used for such occasions. Come and see for yourself, and maybe join us in a glass of sherry?Arrange a Visit
