Tony Collins, of Acacia Lodge Care Home Manchester Talks About His Appointment as the First Black Football Manager

Tony Collins was the Football Leagues first black manager when he took up the player/manager vacancy at Rochdale in 1960, subsequently guiding them to Wembley. Tony is now resident at Acacia Lodge Care Home and enjoying life. Ultimately, Tony became a scout at Manchester United where he is credited as having scouted names such as Lee Sharpe, Paul McGrath to name but a few.
