Our Well-being coordinators ensure that there is a diverse array of activities that reflect what is one of the most proudly diverse care homes in the Birmingham area. The variety of activities are suitable for all levels of ability, we positively encourage the development of individual hobbies and interests. Some of the activities most popular with our residents include all varieties of music, poetry, quizzes, arts and crafts, armchair exercises and film screenings. For those who want it, we also receive guests from different local faith groups on a regular basis.

We regularly have live entertainers visiting our care home in Birmingham to perform, as well as visits from local schools – children can always be guaranteed to raise a smile. In fact, we welcome all friends and relatives to visit and bring children and grandchildren with them, so that connections across the generations can be maintained. On top of this, we love to explore outside the care home in our own minibus. The shops are always a favoured destination, as is the Sea Life Centre in the centre of Birmingham, and the occasional tasty meal at the local pub.

Eat What You Fancy

Our care home in Birmingham is a proud, bustling, diverse community of residents. Albion Court is a welcoming and energetic place, with English, Asian and Caribbean cuisine served daily including Halal, vegan and vegetarian options. There is always a wide choice and if you don’t fancy what is on the menu, then the chefs are happy to cater to requests.

We understand that mealtimes are an important time of the day for our residents, so we do our best to ensure that the varied menus we offer are both nutritionally balanced and appetising. All of our food is freshly prepared in-house, and where possible, locally sourced in and around Birmingham. We ensure that all different cultures are represented in our meals, dining in our culturally diverse care home can be a cosmopolitan experience, with Asian, Caribbean and Eastern European foods well represented.

We enjoy hosting themed culinary evenings, where residents are keen to share their recipes with the home chef and his team. Recent evenings have included dressing up in national costumes, where family and friends are encouraged to join.
