Albion Court is a purpose-built care home on Clinton Street, in the Winson Green district of Birmingham, close to the city centre. Our residents are drawn from across Birmingham, from towns such as Sandwell, Handsworth, Ladywood, Bearwood and Smethwick. Our home benefits from a rich cultural mix and our meals and entertainment reflects this. Both residents and our care teams reflect the rich diversity of the Birmingham communities that we serve.
Our care home in Birmingham is a proud, bustling, diverse community of residents, our home is a welcoming and energetic place, with English, Asian and Caribbean cuisine served daily including Halal, Vegan and Vegetarian options.
The range of activities on offer is also varied; including monthly visits from professional entertainers such as Bollywood dancers, African drummers, Soul and Mowtown artists, Jazz musicians and classical music performers. There are regular services from representatives of various faiths and local churches, including a monthly visit from a local church gospel choir.
We stress the importance of a holistic approach, giving both mind and body equal care and attention, along with the values of respect and dignity to which we regard everyone entitled. Albion Court has been designed to be a communal and comfortable environment, where we can deliver a high standard of round-the-clock care that centres on the well-being of each individual.
Our light and airy bedrooms have walk-in showers, with access for wheelchairs, and can be equipped with electric profiling beds if needed. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms as much as possible, as after all, having familiar things around them eases the transition into their new home.
Our lounges provide a relaxing atmosphere, with plenty of space for activities as well as quiet areas for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere or want a private time with loved ones. Many of the doors open out onto gardens, bringing the outside in on warmer days.
We encourage as much contact with friends and families as possible, as this aids good communication and adds to the feeling of companionship in the home.

Friendly and Fun
Life at Albion Court is as fun and engaging as we can make it. Our Activity Coordinators see to it that there are daily activities suitable for all levels of ability and encourage the development of individual hobbies and interests. Some of the activities most popular with our residents include quizzes, arts and crafts, pampering sessions, armchair exercises and film screenings.
We regularly have live entertainers to perform at the home as well as visits from local schools – children can always be guaranteed to raise a smile. In fact we welcome all friends and relatives to visit and bring children and grandchildren with them, so that connections across the generations can be maintained. On top of this, we love to explore outside the home in our own minibus. The shops are always a favoured destination, as is the Sea Life Centre in the centre of Birmingham, and the occasional tasty meal at the local pub always goes down well.Contact the Home

Eat What You Fancy
We realise that mealtimes are focal and important times of the day, so we do our best to ensures that the varied menus we offer are both nutritionally balanced and as appetising as we can make them. All our food is freshly prepared in our own kitchens and where possible, locally sourced and seasonal. We are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements and that special something that a resident might suddenly fancy. In addition, residents can enjoy a selection of freshly baked cakes (residents might know them as ‘fancies’), snacks and fruit throughout the day — perhaps taking them outside when the sun shines.
Coming together to eat is an integral part of life at Albion Court, but residents can always take their meals in their own rooms if that is their preference. Our staff are sensitive to particular needs and are as accommodating as possible. You can be sure that there will be a mouth-watering home-made birthday cake for those special occasions, when family and friends are always welcome to join us.Arrange a Visit
