Southbourne Beach Care Home in Bournemouth

We have 87 luxury bedrooms, with 60 single rooms, and 17 shared rooms – which allow couples who need support to stay together. Each room features a variety of modern en-suite facilities. And our residents are more than welcome to bring their own furnishings to make their space a true home-from-home. We offer a shared care experience with our companion suites, designed for couples, siblings, or friends seeking a caring and supportive environment together.

Our team are friendly, compassionate and committed to helping our residents lead fulfilling lives. Here, at Avery, our care philosophy focuses on meeting specific care needs. Whether a person is receiving residential care, more intensive nursing care, specialist dementia care or even temporary respite care – we create care plans designed to support the individual. 

It means that no two days are ever the same. One day you might find our dedicated activities room hosting a flower arranging session, while on another you’ll see our residents engaged in a competitive yet friendly game of Scrabble on our big board. 

We also have a minibus, which enables us to get out and about in Bournemouth, Boscombe and Christchurch. And we love to take advantage of the seafront views – with daily escorted walks on the blue flag beach. 

Our chefs take great care to ensure every meal is delicious but nutritionally balanced – as part of a healthy diet. They can also cater to any specific dietary requirements our residents might have. And our innovative Cutlery-Free Dining approach means mealtimes are always inclusive occasions. 

As part of our commitment to Cutlery-Free Dining, our chefs are specially trained to adapt ‘regular’ meals so they can be enjoyed, regardless of ability or disability. These dishes still include the same high-quality ingredients and the same nutritional goodness – they’re just prepared in a way that doesn’t require cutlery or minimal cutlery.
