Summer is in full swing at Ashurst Mews!
Ashurst Mews Care Home in Moulton recently invited Avery Ambassador Sherrie Hewson and the Mayor of Northampton to our Summer Garden Party!
Sherrie arrived at our home and was welcomed by Home Manager Rex Pudol and Regional Manager Marius Feeney, and was later joined by the Mayor of Northampton, Nazim Choudary. Sherrie arrived to a beautiful bouquet of flowers presented by the staff at Ashurst Mews.
We decorated the home with bright floral bunting and our chefs delighted residents and guests with some delicious foods including traditional fish ‘n’ chips, strawberries & cream and a trifle. Fresh summer fruit platters which were also served by the catering and well-being staff.
Our residents presented a gift to Sherrie; a beautiful artwork of a tree, hand-made from buttons. Sherrie loved it and spent time talking with residents about how they made it. Another resident also asked Sherrie to sign her cookbook. Sherrie delighted residents by posing for photographs and giving autographs.
The entertainment for the day was from one of our regular singers, Lesley-Ann. Sherrie and residents spent time in the garden listening and dancing as Lesley-Ann performed.
We enjoyed welcoming Sherrie and the Mayor to Ashurst Mews, and it was great to see everyone in the garden enjoying themselves. We would love to invite Sherrie back in the future.
