International Nurses Day at Avery Healthcare
International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on 12th May to mark the contributions nurses make to society. The date itself holds significant meaning in the nursing profession as it is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing.
Nurses play an essential role in care and have a diverse skill set and extensive knowledge that they spend years developing. International Nurses Day brings this hard work to the forefront of our minds so that we can all thank the nurses who have interacted in our lives.
To celebrate the great work that our nurses do and as a thank you for their consistently high standard of care delivered to our residents, Avery Healthcare arranged for a box of Belgian chocolates to be delivered to every one of our nurses as a special surprise.
