Bee Active with Sherrie at Rowan Court
We had the pleasure of welcoming Avery Ambassador Sherrie Hewson to our Bee Active class followed by lunch at Rowan Court Care Home on the 27th September.
Sherrie Hewson arrived to receive a bouquet of flowers from one of our Resident Ambassadors, Dorothy Maylin and Front of House staff member, Danielle Garrington-Miller. Sherrie also met the Home Manager, Jacinta Greatrex and took a tour of the home.
Vera Preston, another of Rowan Court’s Resident Ambassadors said, “I think Sherrie was very friendly, as she spoke to a lot of people and everyone liked her. Afternoon Tea was nicely served and Bee Active were excellent as usual.”
Sherrie was keen to learn about the variety of activities we do to enrich each individual residents lives, and spoke to many staff members, residents and their families. She also posed for a plethora of photographs as she enjoyed afternoon tea and then visited our Macmillan Coffee morning to acquire some cakes to take back to the cast of her current stage production – Benidorm!
We raised over £180 for Macmillan Cancer Support from selling cakes and sweet treats. The visit was extremely enjoyable and memorable to everyone at Rowan Court!
