The Finest of Care Homes in Somerset
Acer House is one of the very finest Weston-super-Mare Care Homes and is situated on Milton Road, overlooking Ashcombe Park. We offer residential care, dementia care and respite care and draw the majority of our residents from the north Somerset and Bristol areas. Acer House is home to a happy community of residents who thrive on the care and companionship we provide. Our focus is always on improving the quality of living for our residents and an emphasis on the role that they, along with their families, can make in shaping home life.
Our beautifully appointed home is one of our newest in Weston-super-Mare and furnished to a high standard. Our spacious bedrooms contain en-suite walk-in showers, as well as flat-screen TVs and DVD players. In addition to quality single rooms, we also have suites so that couples can use one room as a private lounge area. Downstairs rooms open out onto our front and rear gardens, which are quite and secluded.
Residents can take advantage of our large, bright and airy lounges for social activities, or take some time out in the smaller, specially designed quiet lounges, which are perfect for reading a book or taking a moment for yourself.
Both of our much-loved gardens are bursting with life, mostly due to the excellent care and attention lavished upon it by our thriving gardening club. The enclosed rear garden backs onto Ashcombe Park.
To see what we get up to you might want to view our dedicated Facebook that is kept updated with all the activities and goings on in the home, or call our friendly manager Sam Ealden on 01934 637350 who will answer your questions or arrange to show you around our care home.

Oh We Do Like To Be Beside The Sea
There can’t be many residential homes that have their own beach hut, but ours is one of them, and it’s right on the Weston-super-Mare sea front and very easy to get to. Soaking up the sea air and breeze is just one of the activities we do, though. Our lovely gardens, full of sweet peas, lupins and foxgloves suit the green-fingered, while inside there are plenty of singalongs, team games, quizzes and entertainment. Something for everyone. We take pride in going that extra mile: we even managed to arrange a trip on a Harley Davison for one of our ladies, who wanted to revisit her youth one more time.
We welcome many local groups, schools and societies into our retirement home and enjoy the support of the wider north Somerset community. Our Weston-super-Mare care home is situated about a mile from town and the seafront, meaning that excursions to the promenade, the beach or town centre are easy. Often we will meet with our recently opened sister care home in Clevedon and enjoy meeting some new people. We also take trips to local heritage sites and occasionally learn a lot from expert speakers from local museums and societies.
We regularly entertain residents from other Avery care homes who come to enjoy a short seaside break. And we like to give back to the community through charitable fundraising. Some of our staff are even planning a sky dive to raise money for Young Dementia UK. Do you think the oldies will want to do that too?Contact the Home

Fresh Air & Fresh Food
Our light and airy dining room opens out on to the rear garden, so we almost feel that we are dining al fresco. Coming together to eat is often the highlight of the day and our kitchen teams knows how important it is to provide tempting and nourishing food. Naturally, we can cater for any special dietary requirements. The menu at Acer House is varied, changing with the seasons and always consists of fresh, locally Somerset sourced ingredients. Our themed nights provide culinary heights!
Aside from our three set meals a day, and the wine and drinks which are on offer with them, our chef is always turning out wonderful freshly baked treats and snacks for our residents to enjoy. Birthday cakes are a speciality! If you would like to come and taste what’s on offer for yourself, do come along!Arrange a Visit
