Never a Dull Moment
Whatever the day, whatever the weather, you will find us engaged in some kind of activity, whether it is light physical exercise, crafting, gaming, reminiscing, day tripping in our very own mini-bus, or just enjoying a good old chat. We are regulars about Wimbledon town and beyond, to sites of local interest, sporting events, even a spot high street shopping or the occasional pub visit for Sunday roast. Guests are always welcome to join in and many do just that. Local groups and entertainers of all kinds are regular visitors to the home, and we see ourselves as playing an important role within the Wimbledon community and beyond.
We have clubs that meet regularly, from knitting and gaming groups, to a film club that meets in our dedicated cinema, even a gentleman’s club who appreciate our Saturday sports gatherings. New residents are encouraged to join in or even start up their own group if they have a particular shared interest but in the end, you can do just whatever you like. We are a social, companionable bunch, and our lounges are always alive with chatter, visiting guests and the smell of freshly baked cakes and biscuits.
So whatever takes your fancy, there really is something for everyone, each and every day.Watch Our Video
Enjoy Fine Dining & Fine Wines
Our chef and his team understand the importance that food and meal times have on the lives of our residents. It is for many residents the highlight of their day and we never forget that.
Dining is a time when we come together and share in each others company. We enjoy our delicious restaurant standard fare and the good company of fellow residents. Guests are always welcome to join us and the choice at each meal means there is always something tasty to enjoy at lunch, our main meal of the day but also at diner.
Good, fresh, seasonal food is our chefs hallmark, but we also enjoy the occasional themed meal, something a little more exotic for those that want to try something different. We have a great relationship with our local Wimbledon butcher and grocer, so food is always fresh and our water purifier gives us delicious spring water from the tap.
The kitchen team also keep us well supplied with freshly baked cakes and biscuits which compliment many a good chat in our various lounges, perhaps over a cup of tea or coffee?
Healthy food brings our care home residents a vitality and a chance to mix, it is without doubt one of the most important aspects of our well-being programme.

Kingsmere Retirement Home
I very much appreciated my visit, felt very well looked after. I liked the thought and sensitivity to the building, both structurally and colourwise. The coffee and pastries were delicious. I failed to ask if there would be the possibility for art and exercise, nor how I should put my name down ?As you saw I am not in need yet! With grateful thanks Mary Jo
