Avery Healthcare’s Well-being Co-ordinator Takes Home Dementia Care Award
Well-being Co-ordinator at Brentwood Arches Care Home in Essex, Kirsty Brown, has won the Wellbeing Award at The Dementia Care Awards 2024.
The Dementia Care Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions in dementia care, promoting best practices and inspiring a person-centred approach to care.
Kirsty Brown’s recognition highlights her commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents at Brentwood Arches Care Home through her compassion and engaging well-being activities.
Kirsty, who has worked at Brentwood Arches Care Home for just over a year, was thrilled when she was announced as a winner at the awards.
Kirsty said, “After working in freight forwarding and hospitality, I discovered my calling to make a real difference in the care industry. This journey brought me to the Woodland community, where I now work with residents living with dementia at Brentwood Arches Care Home.”
“Every day, I strive to bring something unique and special to our residents’ lives who have dementia. Making a difference, no matter how small, brings so much joy and fulfilment and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact. I feel like I have the best job in the world.”
