Recognised by Leeds City Council for its excellence, Aire View is a well-established care home situated off Broad Lane, just across the Kirkstall Bridge. We are rightly proud of our ‘enhanced status’ granted by our local council as there are only a handful of homes in the city to achieve this. As we said, we are the proudest of Leeds care homes! Expertly guided by our manager Paula Pearson since its launch nearly ten years ago, Aire View offers residential, dementia and respite care to residents who are drawn from across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Resident well-being is our absolute focus and we work hard to ease every resident into their new home. Fortunately we benefit from the enthusiastic support of family and friends, which gives the home its friendly and companionable atmosphere.
Everyone at Aire View is very sociable and enjoys a great sense of fun and togetherness. Our lounges and café are where you’ll find us joining in activities, mingling over cakes and coffee or perhaps even enjoying a pre-lunch aperitif. We also recognise that sometimes a bit of space is needed and our quiet rooms are always available for some relaxation or just catching up on the papers.
Our bedrooms are generously sized and come with en-suite walk in showers, 3/4 beds and wall-mounted TVs. We encourage residents to make their rooms their own with keepsakes and mementos or a favourite bedspread perhaps and our housekeeping staff make sure rooms stay just the way residents prefer.
Our garden is the perfect spot to while away the summer months in the company of other residents and is often the scene of Keep Fit and other exercises. The gardening club sees to it that the borders are always looking in tip top condition.
We also take time to pamper ourselves in our very own hair salon and enjoy our popular afternoon film matinées in the cinema room.
To see what we get up to you might want to view our dedicated Facebook that is kept up to date with all the activities and goings on in the home, or call our manager Paula on 0113 388 5440 and she will happily answer any questions you might have or arrange for you to be shown around.

Making a Song and Dance!
If you look at our Facebook pages you will see that there is quite a lot of singing and dancing going on. Some of it may be done in chairs, but it’s the spirit that counts! When the weather is fine, the keyboard gets taken out into the garden and we have the extra benefit of fresh air to fill our lungs. We like our fun, but it doesn’t happen by chance as we have full-time Activity Co-ordinators who see to it that there is always plenty going on to keep mind and body active and engaged. For instance:
- Wearing silly hats and glasses
- Enjoying the cut and thrust of dominoes or Ludo
- Parachute manoeuvring
- Brushing up football skills
We are very pleased to say that not only does our home get officially recognised, but so does the garden, winning a Gold in the Residential Complex category for Leeds in Bloom, Spring 2016. We certainly get the residents perfecting their gardening skills!
Our minibus takes us out and about too, to the local theatre, garden centre, the local pub for a Sunday pint, or a trip to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Members of the local community are also regular visitors to us, whether it’s local interest groups, schools or churches; we like to consider ourselves playing a role in local initiatives and events.

Wholesome Nutritious Food
Dining is an integral part of life at Aire View. It brings us altogether and is a major part of home life. Chef and the team take pride in delivering a choice of delicious, hearty meals from the traditional to the more exotic. A lot of thought goes into planning our menus and we always use locally sourced seasonal foods for freshness and encourage people to get involved by growing our own herbs.
Between meals there is always a ready supply of freshly baked cakes and biscuits that are freely available in lounges and the cafe and chef can often be seen doing the rounds after super, making sure that residents comments are taken on board and new ideas shared. Needless to say all dietary requirement are catered for and wine is always available as an aperitif before lunch and super.
