Avery Residents Still Have a Say
Here at Avery, we always want to support whatever interests our residents enjoy; from supporting local charities, to having a knit and a natter, to getting involved with current affairs. We believe in helping our residents to live a normal life and getting involved with their community.
So when residents wanted to ensure their voices were heard by voting in the General Election, we made it happen!
All Avery homes supported their residents to vote, whether they requested postal votes or went to the polling station on Thursday 8th June. Each home had a luxury minibus to escort the residents to their local polling station, which is also used to take them out on trips each week too.
Here are a few of our favourite photos of our residents getting involved:
Colin at Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton was very happy to be taken to vote!
Residents at The Hawthorns Aldridge made sure to go out and vote, travelling in their luxury mini-bus
Here’s a lovely photo of residents at Cliftonville Care Home in Northampton out at their local polling station
Glenmoor House Care Home in Corby made sure that their residents could voice their opinions too
