Birchmere Mews Care Home has been completely re-fitted and opened in March 2018. Our home will offer residential and dementia care and will have available bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms and three quarter sized beds, many will have views of Copt Hall golf course that adjoins our Knowle site just off the A4141 Warwick Road.
Many of the new rooms at Birchmere Mews are designed for couples and include private lounge areas. Many other rooms have kitchenettes, with a small fridge and sink just in case you fancy a nice cup of tea with your daily paper.
Birchmere Mews is situated opposite its sister home Birchmere House with which it shares a free car park and minibus. Residents from both care homes will enjoy excursions together visiting sites of interest all across the West Midlands. In fact close links will be a key feature of these homes, both equally sized and perfectly formed! Elder care communities operate best when they are of the size of our two neighbourly homes and building thriving communities is what we are all about. No one gets overlooked, everyone knows each other and yet there is plenty of private space too, should you wish to retreat and let’s face it, we all need that from time to time.
Comfort and care you can trust in, these are very important facets of any care home and with us its all but guaranteed. Our recent re-fit, in combination with the nationally acclaimed reputation of our operator Avery Healthcare, for delivering exemplary care standards, means that you know you are in safe hands.
But what sets our residential homes apart and Birchmere Mews is no different, is what we build on the inside of the home, its atmosphere, the companionship of staff and residents and homely support that are part parcel of daily life. Our communities are vibrant places where each and every one of our residents finds their place and above all contributes to something that is quite hard to pin down down but which is palpable when you visit.

Our Well-Being team are a busy bunch. Busy keeping all our residents happy and occupied, whether it is organising excursions in our minibus, taking a short walk in Copt Hall, running crafting sessions in our activity room or inviting in local community groups, schools or entertainers.
When the weather is fine, we all like to venture out onto our sun terrace, drink tea and play board games, cards and such activities. We also hold regular social events where guests are welcome to join us and where themed food is prepared by our own chef. Chef also ensures that no activities take part without a good smattering of cakes and biscuits and there are sessions of chair based exercises to ensure that we don’t put on too much weight!
Birchmere Mews is well connected to the local community and we ensure that we maintain good relations with all kinds of groups and clubs. We see ourselves as playing a vital role in the local Solihull community and can be regularly seen out and about in our minibus right across the Solihull district.
