Springwood Corner Care Home, which opened its doors in June 2025, has already achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving a 10 out of 10 rating on Carehome.co.uk, the UK’s leading care home review platform.
The platform allows residents, families, and visitors to share their experiences, rating their overall satisfaction as well as up to 11 specific categories including facilities, activities, care and support, and staff. Achieving a perfect score reflects the consistently high standards of care and the welcoming environment that Springwood Corner has established in just a few months.
The celebration was marked by a special moment when the home’s very first resident, Jean, had the honour of blowing out the candles, symbolising the joy and success of the community built in such a short time. The event was attended by Professor Martin Green, Chief Executive Officer of Care England, alongside Daniel Bridges, Regional Commissioning Director for Avery Healthcare.

One relative of a resident left their thoughts on the site, stating, “When I arrive, I feel a sense of professionalism throughout the home, whether it’s housekeeping, catering, carers, activity or reception, all departments are run extremely well.” With another relative commenting, “It feels as though my sister-in-law has been there much longer, as the time has passed so quickly with all the activities on offer to her. Her room is beautiful, and all the staff are wonderfully caring and friendly.”
Nicola Pike, Home Manager, expressed her delight over this achievement, stating, “This is a proud moment for Springwood Corner in such a short space of time. My thanks go out to the team at the home for their hard work and dedication. It is an honour to be the manager of such a successful home.”
