Loxley Park Assisted Living receives an outstanding CQC Inspection
The Loxley Park Assisted Living Residency in Sheffield are overjoyed with the result from their latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) report after an unannounced two-day inspection.
The Care Quality Commission inspects the services delivered in care homes in five categories (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.) Each category is then graded based on their findings, with an overall rating given. Loxley Park are delighted to have achieved a Good in four of the categories rating, with an Outstanding in the category for Care.
Avery Healthcare acquired Loxley Park in May 2018 and this is their first CQC Inspection under the new management. The community is comprised of two buildings and stands in a quiet and stunning lakeside setting with spacious grounds all around. It offers a variety of services, from fully independent retirement living to assisted living for those needing help with daily chores, and either option can be topped up with a choice of tailored care packages to suit a resident’s preferences.
The CQC report included many positive comments about the care, staff friendliness and safety of residents such as:
“We can rely on the care team and feel comfortable taking holidays and being away from home, knowing [our relative] is in safe hands.”
“Life changing. These two words summarise everything about Loxley Park. I never thought I would find somewhere that truly cares as much as I do for [my relative]. I sleep easy knowing they are perfectly cared for. The Loxley team are amazing!”
“They make no mistakes with medicines. They are very rigorous.”
“The care provided to my [relatives] has been exemplary. Following illness, they have needed extra support and the numerous carers have all been great. At a very difficult time, the team here have done everything they can and always with a smile.”
Sue Ravenhall, Registered Manager for Loxley Park’s home care, commented: “This is our first inspection under Avery, and I am thrilled with the result. The staff team at Loxley Park work hard to ensure our residents enjoy their time here and are very well cared for, and I am glad to see that dedication paying off with such recognition.”
