Company News, Loxley Park

Loxley Park Assisted Living, is celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

The inspection took place between 1st and 9th April 2026. Inspectors recognised Loxley Park’s distinctive and compassionate culture of care, highlighting how staff consistently go above and beyond to treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.

The report praised the service for delivering highly personalised care. Inspectors noted that care plans reflected residents’ individual lives, aspirations and strengths, ensuring that people’s voices were central to every aspect of care delivery and decision-making. This person-centred approach was highlighted as a key factor in the home achieving the highest possible rating.

A resident at Loxley Park shared their thoughts with CQC, saying, “I absolutely love it here. I couldn’t have felt more welcome. The team are amazing, and I feel so lucky to call this place my home.”

Naomi Roberts, Home Manager, commented on the achievement, “We are incredibly proud to have achieved an Outstanding CQC rating.  It reflects the dedication, compassion and hard work of our entire team and our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care and support.

Receiving an outstanding CQC rating is a very proud and emotional moment for both our team and residents.  I feel that the whole team 100% deserve this recognition as they do continuously go over and above for our residents and ensure they live their lives to the fullest.”

Victoria Marsden, Deputy Director of Operations in the north-east at CQC, said, “We found an exceptional service where staff and leaders worked hard to provide the best possible care. Every person, whether staff, people using the service, or their families, felt genuinely heard, respected, and valued.

“We saw kind and caring staff who went above and beyond to enable people to feel fully cared for and empowered them to live full and happy lives. An external health professional described the service as one of the best supported living services in the area.

“People using Loxley Park told us they felt very lucky to call the service home and had never felt happier. We saw this in practice when we visited, with people smiling and being supported by staff to take part in activities such as gardening, quizzes, group exercise sessions and organised outings.”
