At the beginning of the pandemic, resident Brian at St Giles Nursing Home in Birmingham decided to write a song dedicated to the home to help lift the spirits of his friends and staff alike. “Brian has a background in music. He has been a drummer everywhere and anywhere, he was even part of a trio in Egypt”, Well-being and Activities Co-ordinator Harriet tells us. The song is inspired by how much Brian loves living at St Giles and his new way of life. One year on, he continues to bring joy to the home with his music and singing.
