Avery’s St Giles Care Home is a modern, purpose-built nursing home located in Tile Cross, in the east of Birmingham. Our home happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories side by side.
We offer two floors of round-the-clock nursing care and support and, on our top floor, residential care. All bedrooms come with en-suite showers and flat-screen TVs. There is plenty of space for residents to have their own belongings and personal mementoes beside them, to ensure they feel like it is a home from home.
St Giles Care Home is built around a central garden courtyard, which is particularly popular in summer as a quiet and relaxing outdoor space.

At St Giles, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, where everyone can enjoy the variety of daily activities and events we offer. Our Well-being Co-ordinators understand the importance of tailoring activities to everyone, whilst also providing engaging and exciting new opportunities.
With community at the heart of our care home in Birmingham, there are multiple group activities for residents to take part in, such as bingo, sing-a-longs, film screenings, and quizzes, to name just a few. Reminiscence plays an important part in life at our Birmingham nursing home, and we regularly have one-to-one sessions with each resident to get to know them on a more personal level.
With Birmingham being one of the most culturally diverse cities in the UK, we ensure this is woven into our activities at St Giles Care Home. This includes staying in touch with the wider Birmingham community, and often having local live entertainers come in to perform for us – and, as we have our own minibus, we can get out on regular outings. From visits to the local shops and trips to museums to inviting local Birmingham groups and schools to visit us, there is no shortage of things to keep everyone thriving and interested.

We aim for the highest standards in our nutritious and well-balanced meals, as all our food is freshly prepared and, when possible, our inventive kitchen team ensures the use of local suppliers and creates delicious menus ad meals in line with the seasons. No special dietary requirement is ever a problem.
In addition to three set meals a day, residents are spoiled with the selection of freshly baked cakes and pastries available too. Friends and family are invited to join us not only for any special occasions, but we do enjoy making an event of welcoming people into our care home at Tile Cross.
