‘Good in All Categories’ for Adelaide Care Home

We are proud to announce that Adelaide Care Home in Bexleyheath has scored ‘Good in All Categories’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) at a recent unannounced inspection. The CQC grades the services delivered in care homes in five categories (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led) and adjudged that Adelaide and its staff scored consistently highly throughout.

We are operated by leading national care provider Avery Healthcare, Residential Care Provider of the Year in 2016 from two awarding bodies and Qube Learning Awards Employer of The Year in 2017. We are a well-established care home with spacious lounges, restaurant-style dining rooms, spacious bedrooms all with en-suites, hair salon, and a beautiful secluded garden with a pagoda for those sunny days.

Extracts from the CQC report include: ‘People told us they felt safe and that staff treated them well.’ Comments from a resident include; “It’s very nice here, staff are amazing and I am not exaggerating.” Visiting relatives also told CQC, “Staff are really good, they look after my loved one really well, can`t really speak highly enough of them.”

Shiella Davies, our Home Manager, (pictured with the team) was elated: “We are thrilled to be able to celebrate this achievement. We have a philosophy and commitment to promoting independence and choice for our residents, supported by the highest quality care. It is a care home with a difference, where every resident joining us makes a positive choice about their future; a future that offers companionship and a stimulating and interesting lifestyle. Thank you to all the team.”

Make sure you come along to our National Care Home Open Day on the 16th June where we will be enjoying an Al Fresco Picnic. You can also read our full CQC report for Adelaide Care Home.
