Droitwich Mews Brought the Community Together for Comic Relief Walk

Company News, Droitwich Mews

The atmosphere was filled with pride and warmth on Monday, 16th March, as Droitwich Mews hosted another successful charity fundraiser, this time in aid of Comic Relief. Residents, team members, relatives, and members of the local community all came together for a 10-mile circular walk.

Special efforts were made to ensure residents could be involved every step of the way. Using the minibus, residents could join at various well-known stops and pubs along the route, allowing them to participate in increments and remain part of the shared experience.

Resident, Ann, reflected on the event, saying, “I can’t believe we did it; the team were incredible, and made sure we felt included in the walk.”

Adding to the day’s uniqueness, horses from Aerion Equestrian joined the group for part of the walk as Home Manager, Hannah Atkinson, keeps her horse there. Dementia Barbers also attended, who regularly visit the home. These partnerships highlight the strong connections Droitwich Mews has built with local organisations.

The event marked not only a successful fundraiser but a celebration of inclusivity, creativity, and togetherness. So far, an impressive £340 has been raised for Comic Relief, reflecting the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved.

Relative, Mike, commented on the occasion, saying, “It was so wonderful to be able to take part in such an incredibly well-organised charity event to raise money for a wonderful cause and bring the Grandkids along too.”

Above all, the day left a lasting emotional impact. Residents felt included, valued, and uplifted by being part of such a vibrant occasion. Team members felt proud to create meaningful experiences, and visitors left inspired by the strong sense of unity and compassion. It was more than just a fundraiser; it was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together.
