On June 20th, 2025, Droitwich Mews marked a significant double milestone – receiving a GOOD rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in all five key areas, and reaching full occupancy for the very first time since opening in October 2020.
The home’s first CQC inspection in January 2025 resulted in an outstanding outcome, with the team being recognised for excellence in Caring, Responsive, Well-Led, Safe, and Effective care. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of everyone at Droitwich Mews.
To celebrate, the home hosted a lively event filled with music, delicious treats, and plenty of community spirit. Residents, families, and staff all joined in the festivities, which included an ice cream van, donuts, pizza, and live entertainment from CLM Sammy, whose performance brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
We were honoured to welcome the Mayor, who delivered a heartfelt speech praising the team’s commitment to providing high-quality care and fostering strong community connections.
Home Manager Hannah expressed her pride in the team’s hard work:
“I am so incredibly proud of the whole team. Their drive, passion, and commitment to looking after our residents has shone through in our report and generated the enquiries which have allowed us to be at full occupancy.”
Resident Henry Watts also shared his thoughts on the milestone:
“Don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today. The team have done so well to achieve this, and we are all so proud.”
This celebration perfectly captured the vibrant and caring atmosphere that defines Droitwich Mews – a true home where residents feel valued and supported.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and continuing to nurture a warm, welcoming environment for all who live here.
