Company News, Camberley Woods

Camberley Woods Care Home recently organised its annual Summer Fete, which raised nearly £300 for their local Farnborough and District Stroke and Aphasia Group.

The event was a vibrant affair, featuring a diverse range of attractions, from an energetic performance by Jean Claude to a raffle with numerous winners, delicious treats from the home’s Culinary Team, a tombola, and various stalls offering unique items, there was something for everyone.

The funds raised will support the Farnborough and District Stroke and Aphasia Group, which provide essential services for individuals affected by stroke and aphasia, aiding their recovery and improving their quality of life.

Over 100 attendees, including residents, staff, and local community members, attended the event and helped to raise an incredible £283.

Camberley Woods Care Home’s General Manager, Noelia Fernandes, expressed her pride in the event’s success, attributing it to the community’s generosity and support.

Noelia stated, “We are delighted with the amount we have raised. This significant contribution, made possible by our community, will make a real difference in the lives of those supported by the Farnborough and District Stroke and Aphasia Group.” “We are proud of our community’s spirit and look forward to more opportunities to support such important causes.”

Special guests from the Farnborough and District Stroke and Aphasia Group attended the Summer Fete and were delighted by the Camberley Woods community’s activities and warm hospitality. Their enjoyment was mirrored by the residents and guests who were equally thrilled by the friendly animals brought in by visitors from Millers Ark Farm, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Janet, Secretary for the local Farnborough and District Stroke and Aphasia Group, also attended the event, along with other group members. She said, “We were delighted to be invited to attend the Summer Fete at Camberley Woods Care Home.” “All our members enjoyed meeting the residents, sitting and talking about their lives during the afternoon.” “The entertainment and food were excellent! All the staff were all so kind and helpful. We are all over the moon with the funds raised for our charity, this will help with our group meetings and our trips. Thank you once again for all the support, from myself and all the members of our group.”
