High quality furnishings within and tranquil gardens outside is what sets Camberley Woods Care Home apart from other homes in Surrey. The home is particularly known in the area for its first-class nursing care but residential care, dementia care and short term respite care breaks are also very popular.
Across the home you’ll have a choice of beautifully decorated rooms from studio, one bed and two bed suites, all with ensuite facilities, and plenty of space to make the room your own. What is particularly noticeable about our Camberley Woods Care Home is how light and airy the rooms are, especially the communal lounge and dining areas where our residents enjoy most of their time. The huge windows really make a difference whatever the weather is doing. There is plenty to keep all tastes entertained during the day from a spot of pool in the bar to gardening in the grounds or a favourite film in the cinema.
Camberley is proud to be the town with an award-winning nursing home, used by the local community over many years. The qualified nursing team works around the clock to provide nursing care for many conditions, also including rehabilitation and longer-term conditions.
Where our nursing home residents are confined to bed, we work with our residents and families to encourage appropriate activities that the resident will enjoy, alongside a bespoke menu of food that is both nutritious and delicious. Where appropriate, this might include cutlery-free food that is designed to be eaten by hand. Camberley Care Home has a dedicated memory suite that provides a light and safe environment for our residents who are living with dementia. The dedicated team enjoy supporting residents to maintain life skills and encourage activities that promote memories and a contented sense of achievement. This could involve helping with laying the table in the dining room, working with the maintenance team planting Spring bulbs in the garden or preparing arts and crafts activities with the Well-being and Activities team ready for their fellow residents to enjoy in the afternoon. All activities are designed around the individual with their personality with previous hobbies very much at the forefront of daily life. Our Surrey care home welcomes weekly events to family members and friends from the local community for our mothers and toddlers club, allowing the intergenerational links with our residents to blossom. Trips out in our minibus to places of interest are a enjoyed here at Camberley Woods Care Home and we are also open to suggestions for new places to visit.
I earned my Nursing degree in Portugal in 2000 and gained extensive experience working as a staff nurse in both NHS and private hospitals, followed by care homes. After moving to England in 2013, I continued as a Staff Nurse in a care home and transitioned to management in 2014 as a Deputy Manager. Since February 2024, I have been the Home Manager at Camberley Woods Care Home.
I am passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives and passing that passion to my residents, their families, and my team at Camberley Woods Care Home. Our home combines exceptional care, wonderful residents, and a welcoming environment, and I take great pride in the work my team and I do to improve the quality of life for our residents.
