Bryan Will See You Now

Bryan, a resident at Avery Park Care Home in Kettering, has been supporting Home Manager Rebecca with staff interviews during the past few weeks. Not only has this allowed Bryan to continue using the skills gained throughout his career as a policeman, but it has also led to lots of positive recruitment feedback and is a wonderful example of meaningful engagement.

Speaking of the experience, Bryan said: “This has made moving into a care home so different for me. Interviewing has been a large part of my career, and when Rebecca first asked me to take part, I was excited but had some anticipation about my involvement. However, the interviews were completed in such a friendly atmosphere, and the sense of fulfilment made each one so rewarding to be a part of. It has made me feel part of the team and has shown me that residents’ voices are paramount at Avery Park.”
