Avery Healthcare Sponsors The Northampton Filmhouse

We are very proud to announce that our Avery Northampton-based care homes are sponsoring the Northampton Filmhouse Dementia Friendly screenings.

Offering an unrivalled experience for the discerning filmgoers, Northampton Filmhouse is a two-screen cinema and a popular addition to the Royal & Derngate complex in the centre of Northampton. They have recently been named as the winner of the first Dementia Friendly Organisation Award by the University of Northampton.

For those living with dementia, the monthly dementia-friendly screenings offer the opportunity to enjoy a classic film in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Marius Feeney R. N., Avery Regional Manager, commented: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Northampton Filmhouse Dementia Friendly screenings and partner with this award-winning company to offer thoughtfully designed support to people living with Dementia.”

At Avery, we understand the importance of taking a specific personal approach to dementia care. Ashurst Mews Care Home, Cliftonville Care Home and Spencer House Care Home all have Memory Care suites which reflect our progressive and sector-leading model of care for people living with the many forms of dementia. Our highly trained staff work together with residents and their family to provide skilled support. This ensures the focus is always on maximising remaining cognitive abilities and residents continue to live their lives well in a calm environment that reflects the most up-to-date dementia care research.

We’re all very much looking forward to the upcoming Dementia-Friendly screenings at the Filmhouse!
