Avery Healthcare Partners with the 2022 Northampton Music Festival

The Importance of Music to our Residents

Regardless of age, music is something which everyone can enjoy. At Avery, music is an essential element of our residents’ lives. From concerts filled with singing and dance to musical mornings where residents choose their songs to spend time listening to, we regularly incorporate music into our busy calendar of daily activities and events.

With this in mind, we are pleased to share that we are sponsoring the Northampton Music Festival, which will take place in the town’s market square on the 19th of June. The event will showcase local music and include a host of performances with genres ranging from Rock to Opera. Our residents have been invited to attend the festival, and we are looking forward to coming together to enjoy the performances.

For our residents, music often becomes the basis of a good reminiscence, as we all have a memory to share when it comes to music. Often, our homes have visits from musicians and groups, with residents at Pemberley House recently enjoying a visit from Gramofun. With a vast collection of records from 1907 to the 1950s, Gramofun provided our residents with a unique musical experience and the chance to listen to some of their favourite classics.

Not only does music bring our residents together, but it also helps them to look back fondly on happy memories whilst also making new ones as each tune holds a special significance for us all.

We are looking forward to Northampton Music Festival, and across our homes, our residents will be continuing to engage in a variety of musical activities.
