Amarna House Celebrates Bronze Hydration Achievement

Company News, Amarna House

Amarna House Care Home in York is delighted to share they have received a Bronze Certificate for supporting residents to maintain adequate hydration. Amarna House has been participating in a pilot scheme with the York and Humber Care Partnership, aiming to reduce the number of urine infections, as these are often behind hospital admissions for individuals residing in care homes.

At Avery care homes, the benefits of hydration including improved mood, blood circulation maintenance, and toxins removal are promoted throughout the day. Innovative Thirst-Quencher Drinks Menus are always available, including flavoured waters, from zesty Saint Clements and exotic Pomegranate, Lemon, Ginger & Lime, to our Homemade Cloudy Lemonade.

Linda Donnellan-Beevers, Home Manager at Amarna House, stated: “This is a fantastic achievement for our team, and we are looking forward to gaining the Gold Certificate within the next three months, as we continue our work within this important partnership.’’
