Aire View Care Home Celebrates 10th Anniversary!

Aire View Care Home in Headingley, Leeds, recently held a 10th anniversary party and invited TV Star and Avery Ambassador Sherrie Hewson! The home has been open and operating under Avery Healthcare for ten years.

We decorated the home with a black and gold colour theme. In the days leading up to the party, residents helped our maintenance staff in creating their own balloon columns and table centrepieces.

Visitors were welcomed into our home with a glass of prosecco or Bucks Fizz. As Sherrie arrived, she took the time to speak with staff, residents and families and invited everyone to take a selfie with her.

Our entertainer was Steve Michaels, a singer who specialises in swing and soul music. Sherrie spent time dancing and chatting with residents, she commented on how good the entertainment was.

We had a Yorkshire themed buffet, provided by our culinary team which consisted of smoked salmon, whipped cream cheese and chive bellinis, Scarborough prawn cocktail, Yorkshire reared pork black pudding and rosemary sausage rolls, apple thyme and Wensleydale cheese tart, fish and chip cones, iced cherry buns and individual cream gateau’s as well as a beautifully decorated anniversary cake.

After the entertainment Sherrie helped present gifts to the staff who have been here for ten years, she gave a short speech and praised all the staff on their efforts for all they do.
