Resident Edna at Poets Mews Care Home in Clevedon recently celebrated her 101st birthday. To mark this admirable milestone, staff at Poets Mews went above and beyond to help Edna celebrate, with a BBQ, cocktails, mocktails and even live music in the garden. With a Hawaiian theme in mind, residents and staff donned vibrant clothing, including funky shirts, sunglasses, and flower garlands.
Well-being and Activities Co-ordinator, Kazi, said, “We wanted to organise lots of fun to make this little lady’s birthday very special!” Edna enjoyed the festivities with staff and friends at the home and was surprised with a gloriously decorated birthday cake with purple and yellow flowers. Photos of the day were shared on the home’s Facebook page, with one happy relative commenting, “Looking lovely, Edna!”
