Success all round for Avery Healthcare Employees

May 2017 saw the latest dedicated Avery Healthcare employees graduating with flying colours from the Advanced Senior Carers Programme. Our talented employees walked away with certificates presented by CEO John Strowbridge at a high-profile luncheon at The Kettering Park Hotel in Northamptonshire.

The Advanced Senior Carers Programme delivers highly trained lead carers that provide enhanced clinical nursing support being increasingly demanded by complex care needs.

This detailed five-month programme helps to bridge the accepted skills gap in the care sector and is creating brand new opportunities for senior care staff and improved quality of care for residents. Our senior carers say that it has enhanced their practice and boosted their confidence in caring for residents and mentoring other care staff.

The programme is delivered through face-to face training, mentoring, competency assessment and distance learning.

We at Avery are now well renowned in the care sector, so are keen to attract and retain the best quality staff by investing heavily in structured career pathways. The benefits are clear to see, having achieved a string of awards in 2016 and recently gaining Large Employer of the Year, Young Apprentice of the Year, Outstanding Achiever of the Year and Higher Level Apprentice of the Year at Qube Learning’s 2017 ‘Inspirational Learning’ awards.

Shelley Parker-Wain, National Training and Development Manager for Avery Healthcare commented: “There are no barriers to learning or success in Avery, we nurture our employee’s ambitions. Anyone with a passion for learning will be fully supported to achieve their goals”
