Spencer House Birthday, a sight four eyes!
On Monday 15th October, we celebrated Spencer House Care Home’s 4th Birthday in style, inviting Avery Ambassador Sherrie Hewson and Abington Vale Primary School Choir to join in the fun!
Our Regional Managers Marius Feeney and Andrea Feeney proudly shared the success of Spencer House over the past 4 years along with our Home Manager Shweta Mendon. A beautiful cake was presented in the shape of a number four, with a secondary cake celebrating Avery colours. The cake was cut with one of our residents Jean Collet and Sherrie Hewson. Sherrie shared the opportunity to have photographs with residents, family members, staff and other visitors to the home.
Our culinary team made a delicious selection of treats including Quesadilla Ring, Cheese and Bacon Swirl, cheese and meat platters, brownies, eclairs, macaroons and of course our fabulous birthday cakes. Drinks included fresh fruit juices, selection of flavoured sparkling water and Champagne.
Sherrie sang and danced along to a range of classic songs through the years with residents, staff and other visitors, sung by Stephen Brown.
The children from Abington Vale Primary School presented us with handmade birthday cards that they have made throughout the year and entertained Sherrie and our residents with special songs they had prepared for us. Sherrie spent time with the students too, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Sherrie spoke to the children on their experiences of visiting the residents at Spencer house.
