South Lodge has formed a new partnership with Goodwood Bowls and Social Club, creating a connection that celebrates community and friendship.
The collaboration began when lifelong club member Alan Broadwell moved into South Lodge with his wife, Valerie. During a conversation with Home Manager, Donna Bradley, the idea emerged to bring the two communities together.
As the bowls club prepared to celebrate its 75th anniversary, the partnership grew even stronger. Donna proposed sponsoring the club’s new season kit, which proudly features South Lodge branding.
Residents at South Lodge are now warmly welcomed at the club, with invitations to attend matches, enjoy friendly competitions, and take part in social events. The connection has opened the door to new friendships and experiences, helping residents feel part of the wider community.
Mick Envis, Men’s President, commented on the partnership, “Sponsorships like this go beyond practical support – they show real community spirit and help bring people together. We’re proud to wear the new kit and represent South Lodge every time we step onto the green.
“Partnerships like this help us to continue to grow and remain a space for members, visitors, and now South Lodge residents.”
Donna Bradley shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “Our residents are really looking forward to visiting the club, watching matches and enjoying the atmosphere. We’re proud to support the club and be part of such a welcoming community.”
This partnership is about far more than sponsorship. It represents people coming together to celebrate shared achievements and create lasting memories.
