Residents, relatives and team members at Pemberley House embraced the spirit of the festive season with enthusiasm, coming together to support the Basingstoke Foodbank’s Christmas hamper campaign.
In the run-up to Christmas, the home collected donations of food and produce, generously contributed by residents, their families and team members. These were carefully packed into two Christmas food boxes and several additional bags, amounting to an impressive 52.52 kg in total.
The donations were delivered directly to the Foodbank, where residents had the opportunity to meet with volunteers and learn more about the impact of their contributions. The experience was both rewarding and uplifting, reinforcing the importance of community, kindness and connection during the festive season.
Pamela Sharman, Client Liaison Manager at Pemberley House, said, “We are delighted to support such a meaningful cause, and it was heart-warming to see our residents actively involved in giving back to the community. Community spirit is at the heart of our home, not only at Christmas, but throughout the year.”
This initiative reflects Avery Healthcare’s commitment to Heartfelt Care, creating meaningful moments, community spirit and supporting well-being. For the residents of Pemberley House, the donation was not just about giving food, but about sharing joy and goodwill with those who need it most.
