Pemberley House Care Home is celebrating the growing artistic talents of its residents following the introduction of acrylic painting sessions. What began as a new creative activity has quickly become a source of pride, confidence and connection within the home.
Many residents had never picked up a paintbrush before, yet their artwork now fills the reception area with colour and character. Their Christmas mosaic depicting Mary and Joseph drew particular praise from visitors, who described it as a beautiful and traditional piece of festive art.
Most recently, residents completed an abstract painting inspired by meadow flowers, showcasing both imagination and individuality. The sessions have become a highlight of the week, offering residents a chance to express themselves, learn new skills and enjoy a shared sense of achievement.
At Pemberley House, meaningful activities are at the heart of daily life, and the success of the acrylic painting project reflects the home’s commitment to creating opportunities that bring purpose, joy and confidence to residents.
