Going The Extra Mile

Avery are proud to be sponsors of the Care Worker’s Charity, founded in 2009 with aim of providing support to those who find themselves facing the burden of economic hardship.

Quite often these situations will not be reported to an employer, for fear of judgement or embarrassment. There are nearly 2 million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of Britain’s largest workforces, and caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our society; long hours and mentally and physically demanding work are commonplace and as a result it’s all too easy for illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, to push them into difficulty. As a country, we depend on care workers to be there for us; The Care Workers Charity is there for them on theirs. As a founding supporter from 2009, Avery is right behind that.
