Flipping Great!

There are great events and dates that all our homes love to celebrate, and they all come up with different and creative Facebook posts to show how they got involved with their residents. A recent example of this was Pancake Day, where our homes made pancake posts in their shroves. Although it crêped up on us quickly, here are some of our favourite posts from the day to flip through.

You batter believe that some of our homes really got involved with some traditional pancake day activities! Teams from Spencer House and Alder House (including their Home Managers) got involved with running pancake races outside. Three staff members from Darwin Court even got involved in the Lichfield Pancake Day Race, proudly representing their home in their Avery tee shirts.

Other homes had a flipping good time inside, with some friendly competition between residents to see who could flip the highest or the greatest number of times. Unfortunately, some pancakes were harmed (and dropped) in all this fun – but the smiles on everyone’s faces show that it was well worth it.

Of course, the proof is in the pudding, with an important part of the day being the taste test. Rowan Court posted a video of their resident Emma making a pancake for her son with help from staff, and Avalon Court posted a great clip of residents around the table, preparing to taste their delicious creations with a cheer of ‘Happy Pancake Day!’.

These posts certainly didn’t fall flat! We’re excited to see what national calendar day our homes get involved with next.
