Daniel Bridges, Regional Director at Avery Healthcare, has been appointed as an Ambassador for Championing Social Care, a charity dedicated to shining a positive light on the sector and celebrating the incredible work carried out by those within it.

With over 17 years of experience in social care, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and leadership to the ambassador programme. His career began as a Night Care Assistant, and through dedication and exceptional leadership, he became one of the youngest Registered Managers in the UK at just 23. Today, he oversees a portfolio of Avery homes in Sussex, Kent and Essex, leading with energy, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding care.

Avery will be a sector partner for Care Sector’s Got Talent, with Dan’s ambassador role seeing him join the Care Sector’s Got Talent committee. He will help promote, organise, and support the national showcase of creativity and skill across the care workforce.

Throughout his career, Dan’s leadership has been widely recognised, earning awards including Outstanding Contribution to Social Care and Effective Leadership Through COVID‑19, as well as being a finalist for Manager of the Year at the National Care Awards.

Sharing his thoughts on his new role, Dan Bridges commented, “Social care is an amazing sector to work in and one of the most rewarding careers you can choose. Our sector is full of unsung heroes who change lives every day, often without recognition. I am passionate about celebrating these individuals and shining a light on the incredible work we do. I want to inspire the younger generation to see social care as an exciting and fulfilling career, with endless opportunities to grow, develop, and make a real difference.”

Having nominated Dan for the role, Avery Healthcare CEO, Jeremy Richardson, said, “Dan represents the very best of social care. His passion, his drive, and his absolute commitment to people shine through in everything he does. He leads with his heart, he inspires those around him, and he never loses sight of why our work matters. I’m incredibly proud to see him representing Avery on a national stage and championing the sector we all care so deeply about.”
