Celebrating the Festive Season

On Saturday 16th December, Braintree Mews Care Home was delighted to host its first Christmas Fair, bringing together staff, residents and loved ones to celebrate the festive season.

The fair featured a variety of stalls selling wax melts, quilted items, jewellery, delicious treats, and holiday decorations, making it a perfect place to find unique gifts for loved ones. Their talented culinary team prepared delicious festive delights, from mince pies to mulled wine. Everyone savoured the taste of Christmas.

One of the highlights was the spectacular acapella performance of Christmas carols by David Woods and his choir from a local church in Braintree, adding a touch of magic to the festive atmosphere.

Since opening, the team has established links with members of their local community and was delighted to be joined by several community groups, including a Girlguiding charity that took the opportunity to raise money for their upcoming jamboree.

Speaking of the event, Sarah Lee, Activities and Well-being Co-ordinator, stated, “As it was our first Christmas Fair, we were delighted with how it went; everyone had a great time and left happy. We are really looking forward to next year.”
