Avery wins again!

The hard work and dedication by staff throughout the Avery group has been recognised yet again at the national Care Home Awards for 2018, where we have come away as winners in four important categories.

The prestigious national award ceremony, run by Care Home Management, were held at the Health+ Care Show at London’s ExCel Centre on 27th June. A wide range of the care sector’s leading providers gathered for an exclusive luncheon to celebrate all the best in the UK care sector.

Against worthy competition in all the categories, Avery scooped up arguably the most significant award of Best Larger Care Group! We also took the awards for Best Sporting, Social or Leisure Activities, based upon our innovative approach Well-being programme, Best Nutrition, Food and the Dining Experience, and finally Best Training Initiative.

Sharon Winfield, Chief Operating Officer, commented “It was absolutely amazing to sweep the board at the Care Home Management Awards for 2018, and to win some of the really important categories such as Best Large Care Home Group. This is testament to the consistent hard work and dedication of all of the Avery staff, no matter what role they have within the company, which all goes towards providing our residents with the best in care and hotel quality services”.

Present to collect the fine crop of awards for Avery were Chief Operating Officer Sharon Winfield, Director of Care and Quality Sandra Stark, Commercial Director Mark Danis, Head of Training and Development Shelley Parker-Wain, Deputy Director of Care and Quality Julie Spencer, Group Culinary Manager Simon Lawrence and Well-being and Activity Manager Keir Pedley.
