Avery Healthcare Raise Over £6,000 For Macmillan
Northampton-based care home operator Avery Healthcare Group were pleased to be able to present a cheque of over £6,600 to Macmillan Cancer Support after a major fundraising effort at the Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning on the 30th September. All of Avery’s 47 locations nationwide supported the event, and sold a huge number of cakes and cups of tea and coffee to raise the money; many also held raffles and tombolas to enhance the totals. Cakes were cooked by the professional kitchen teams in all of the homes, as well as by the staff and families and friends of the residents, and local visitors included the Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Chris Malpas, who visited two of Avery’s six homes in the county on the day.
