Astbury Manor retain Double Gold CAP

The staff at Astbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell are delighted to announce that they have retained their double gold catering and housekeeping awards from the Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP) for the second year running!

The CAP awards are given to services that show a high standard of catering and housekeeping. An independent assessor completes a series of assessments at an unannounced visit and evaluates if an award should be presented. CAP aims to increase standards in the service and performance of a business which therefore supports the development of services for the benefit of the resident.

It was noted in the CAP report that our home scored consistently high, gaining 94.8% overall in the catering inspection, and 96.8% in housekeeping. We are proud to have consistently received at least 86% in all 22 areas of inspection.

Simon Lawrence, Head of Hospitality and Culinary at Avery Healthcare has worked with staff at Astbury Manor to achieve the double gold again. He said “Astbury Manors Manager, Juliet Gallop, and her team have once again excelled by achieving another double gold from a recent CAP inspection for housekeeping and catering. Mariola Wolosiak (Head Housekeeper) and Emilio Pascucci (Head Chef) have continued to lead the drive in progressing both services, the standards achieved to receive a second double gold award is impressive and commendable.”

He continued “It is clear to see that there is a continuous team commitment, hard work, and real dedication as they have developed a team culture of normal everyday excellence. With only a handful of care homes and hotels achieving this accreditation, this is an outstanding achievement for Astbury Manor and a superb team effort.”
